The SG5 is for golfers who want a SkyCaddie with advanced features, a large color display and a long-lasting rechargeable battery. SkyGolf’s advanced GPS technology is integrated with the very best Swiss engineering to provide unmatched reliability. The SG5 includes SkyGolf’s patented IntelliGreen® technology, enabling golfers to measure the full depth and shape of the green from any angle of approach and shows distances for all targets and hazards on any of SkyGolf’s many thousands of professionally mapped courses.
The new SGX also comes with 30,000 courses pre-loaded and ready to go - you don't even have to tell the device which course you're at, it will just do it for you as soon as you get to the club and turn the machine on.
The SGX also lets you learn how far (genuinely) you hit the ball with each club. Every time you take a shot, the SGX will record that distance and over time will create an average distance that you hit with that particular bat. So if you're not sure what club to take in windy conditions, the SGX will give you a pretty good guideline.
This is Nikon’s lightest and most compact golf rangefinder but that doesn’t mean it is short on functions. It measures distances of up to 550 yards and also features a first target priority system and an eight-second continuous scan mode to measure different targets in very quick succession. It is also waterproof so there is no problem using it even in the wettest of conditions. The high eye-point design also makes it easier for players wearing spectacles or sunglasses
